progress
I was not satisfied with the vine lace for Anne of Green Gables, so I ripped it out last night and started over with a #3 needle and a seed-stitch edging. Better!
I'm almost ready for Miss Marple - I can carry my book and a small project in my new Grace bag (from Nana Sadie Rose). I absolutely love the fabric and the design!
And... I bought the yarn for the squirrel mittens - Sublime extra-fine merino wool that is lovely and soft (and dk).
As if that wasn't enough goodness for one day, I also won a contest - a skein of "The Time I Was Radioactive" sock yarn from Storm Moon Knits! This is going to make one HOT pair of socks -- thank you, Lindsay!

I love how the scarf is knitting up. It's going to be gorgeous.
The scarf is pretty.
Yay!!! You finally bought the yarn! Your mittens are going to be absolutely fantabulous.
Miss Marple DVD's? Why have I never thought of that?
i like how the scarf is knitting up. that sock yarn is definitely bright!
That Nana Sadie Rose bag is so cute! I've toyed with getting a bag from her for some time. I may just have to this year.
What a great name for a color!! That yarn will make some stunning socks.
LOL! I had no idea you were doing this!
:)
I'm so happy you love your bag!
(((hugs)))
Congrats on winning the sock yarn. I won some a few weeks ago, the color is called tequilla something, it's an orange blend. Now I just have to learn to knit socks.
I love that blue color, its bright but beautiful
The blue is very pretty. Thanks for stopping by my blog and voting for me, even though I didn't win. I'll be posting the results of the contest soon.
Lovely scarf and bag:)! I can't see the pic of the sock yarn, but I'm sure it's fabulous!
:)
Yowsa, great color(s)! I'll look forward to seeing how this works out for you.
And what a wonderful way to start a year, going after your dream of those squirrel mittens. Makes me proud.
Your posts have inspired me to look for those neglected needles and get busy knitting again! I look forward to seeing the squirrel and acorn mittens.
