I write like... what?? Uh oh.

The Gender Genie analyzed this blog entry of mine  - Spinning in a Barn - and said that I write like a man.

Should I be worried?

I went to see what it thought of my blog. Of the last four posts, it thought two were written by a man and two by a woman.

Honestly, though, does the use of articles make one a male? And why do they rate female pronouns as indicators of femaleness, but not male pronouns as ones of maleness?

It depends. Do you consider it a compliment? Is your gender identity questioned or threatened?

Oh, Kirstin. Male pronouns are the norm. Female pronouns are the anomaly. Evidently.

But that looks fun. Sometime in May, I have to play with that.

I think you only need to worry if Jean Claude Van Damme contacts you for the movie rights.

Everyone of my blog posts that I punched in were considered male. Go figure!
