Things are a little less hectic at Chez Teabird. My mother is home from the hospital and feeling much better. I finished the two scarves while I was sitting with her. Now she's eager to add slip-stitch patterns to her (huge) repertoire of knitting skills.
First, the scarf for the Special Olympics. I used a slip-stitch pattern from The Big Book of Knitting Stitch Patterns. I love how it turned out!
Second, the scarf for the Red Scarf Project. I used the Yarn Harlot's one-row pattern, one of my favorites.
And third... well, this was supposed to be a baby hat, but ... I miscalculated. It's more for an older child or younger (smaller) adult. Pardon the lumpiness: Beefeater Bear is rather lumpy. Perhaps I should put him on a vegetarian diet.

I'm glad things are settling down for you. I missed your posts when you were otherwise preoccupied. The scarves are beautiful, and the cap looks VERY fetching on Beefeater Bear!
I'm glad to hear the news about your mother. Those scarves are cute! That hat doesn't go with his outfit. :)
glad to hear your mum is better. i wish you could have finished the scarves under happier circumstances. The hat is cute but i agree .. it doesn't quite go with his outfit. ;)
I'm so glad your mother is home and mending. My thoughts will be with you both. Your projects turned out so nicely; I particularly like the blue and white slip-stitch scarf.
I love the one row pattern. I've used it a few times and the results are always pleasing. The hat patern is cute! Baby hats are hard for me to judge. I try to remember that they have rather large heads and then my imagination gets carried away.
Now that is an adorable hat and assistant!
Glad your mum is feeling better...
Your special olympics scarf is lovely!
That hat is the cutest, as well as the model :)! I'm so glad your mother is better! Hugs to you both!
:)
Mr. Beefeater is adorable and I love the little hat!
