Hedwig and I await (along with how many billion others??)

I usually post Booking Through Thursday responses at Tea Reads, but this one has to be here, too...

Okay, love him or loathe him, you’d have to live under a rock not to know that J.K. Rowling’s final Harry Potter book,
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, comes out on Saturday… Are you going to read it?

  1. If so, right away? Or just, you know, eventually, when you get around to it? Are you attending any of the midnight parties? This Ravenclaw will be reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows the moment it arrives from Amazon.uk. If I don't get it by Saturday, I'll have to hide in my closet to keep from being spoiled.
  2. If you’re not going to read it, why not?
  3. And, for the record… what do you think? Will Harry survive the series? What are you most looking forward to? I am in the "Snape is a good guy" queue because I trust Dumbledore completely. I think he took Harry on the (purposely) unsuccessful quest for the Horcrux as a rite of passage, to toughen him and to ensure that he could do anything necessary to vanquish (hiss) Voldemort. It was Harry's Bardo, facing what he feared, and he got through it.

I'll wait to buy when it comes out in soft cover but I'm #14 on the waiting list at my local library to check it out. I can't wait though!!!!

I'm looking forward to Snape finally being vindicated. He's a good guy yo! :)

I will have to wait for my daughter to read her copy because I don't want to have 2 copies in our already book laden house. She promises not to tell me the ending but it's really ok because I read the end of books first (I am not very good with suspense).

Hi teabird, thanks for stopping by my blog. Although I haven't read the books yet, I'd like to see Snape as a good guy too.

Happy reading and have a great weekend!

Argh. I'm supposed to be a hostess at out faimily reunion, so HP7 will have to wait a few hours on Sat. I promised myself I wouldn't read the end this time.

I almost think Snape is bad, bad, bad. Almost.

I am going to read it as soon as I get it from Amazon, but I'm going to have to hide out from spoilers for a while I think, as I don't get to read a lot through a day.

At the moment I think Snap is a baaaad, hiss, booo, kind of bad guy.
But I am just past the halfway part of the 6th book. So I will let you know my full opinion in a couple of days.

I'm going to read it as soon as I can get it. I'd rather have Stephen Fry read it to me. *swoon*

I totally agree with what you say about Snape. It's what I think, too. What Harry saw in Snape's memory (how Harry's father treated Snape) set it up for a turn-about. We shall see. :)

I'm also hiding out a bit, hoping against hope to miss the spoilers.
