Pride and Prejudice - and a bunny

I finished the Knit the Classics project for Pride and Prejudice - a shawl. It looks blue in the pictures, but it's actually more lavender.

The shawl is just a triangle, with the y/o increases 5 stitches in, and a ruffled top edge, done in Knitpicks Merino Style (cornflower) on size 7 Denises. The bunny... well, the bunny just wanted to snuggle.

I made the shawl for Mary, the bookish Bennet sister, thinking she might need something to keep her warm while she was reading, and that it was plain enough to suit her. The ruffle? Maybe to bring out a latent sense of whimsey (but probably not).

Very pretty! Appropriate as well. Have you started reading Wuthering Heights yet? I read it back when I was a preteen. I'm being sucked in...

I think the ruffle is just right for someone who might be looking for a husband. ;)

It's very pretty and a great project choice. I'm glad you got it finished.

I love the bunny (of course!) and the shawl. Good job.

What a lovely shawl! Especially the ruffle...
I didn't participate in this book, but am hoping to do Wuthering Heights (I've managed to have never read it!)
I love your bunny-theme...
(((hugs)))

Lovely! I hope her eyes are blue...as they will be soooo highlighted by this shawl.

We're all so lucky to have you for a friend, Teabird:)
