scattered, scattered

an elf in autumn

Since I definitely will not be blogging for a week or so (as if I generally blog more often?), here are some links to keep you busy.

  • Sarah Palin hits a nerve among Jewish women, but it's a raw one by Marissa Brostoff in The Jewish Daily Forward.
  • Romancing the Yarn, the knitting blog by author Barbara Bretton, whom I first met almost 30 years ago when she was a patron at the library. New new book, Casting Spells, is set in a very special knitting store!
  • The Pen Addict. Do I need to say more? Pen pr#n.
  • The Octogon. Books, books, books, and a weekly haiku. On The Magus : "One day I will come across someone who will adequately explain why they loved it so much and put me out of my misery. Until then I will always view this book as a self-indulgent tome that was a waste of time to me. Deep breath..." Wry and generous. Go visit.
  • National Novel Writing Month. Heaven help me, I'm going to try again. This time, I have collected fragments of a plot, a character or two, and lots of ink for my darling Lamy fountain pens. If you'd like to be my writing buddy, I'm teabird17 over there. Send chocolate. Send ink.
