say hi to the new girl on the block

You can always count on Hornbill to be the first on the scene when something new arrives.
I can solve this
A carton was delivered a few weeks ago, and Hornbill tried to figure out what could be inside. He gave up, finally, and asked me to explain.

It's my new spinning wheel, I told him. She comes from Spinolution. They call her the Bee.

Gidget again!Isn't she cute? She folds up nice and small, just the way we like things in our little nest.

first bobbinHere's a peek at our getting-to-know-each-other bobbin.

We're going to need some time to get to know each other. But this I do know --

her name is ...

Gidget!

I saw the Bee at a sheep show in September and was fascinated at how she works (I wonder why I think of spinning wheels as "she"). There is an article on the inventor in this month's Spin Off magazine. Very cool. Welcome Gidget!

Oh how wonderful! You are so amazing--taking up new skills--moving beyond your comfort zone all the time.
(and what a pretty blue you've started with--I hope this is the start of making the Blues a good thing!)

Wow, I've never seen a spinning wheel like that. My mom has a traditional looking one (but she hasn't spinned for several years).
