My father-in-law designed and made these stained-glass titmice for me. We have it set in our side door.
An example of our decor. This chipmunk has guarded the Dixie Cups for years, and done a damn good job of it.
I won! Thank you, Mistress Stash Enhancer, for making this bag and painting this roving for me.
A finished object. Although I think of the colourway as "I never promised you a rose garden," it's actually the August 2008 Art Walk Sock Club yarn, knitted up in a cartridge rib scarf for a friend whose love of (fountain pen) cartridges equals my own.

I'd say that squirrel has done one fine job protecting those dixie cups!!! Go squirrel! :D
I see the colorway of that yarn now...but honestly, I saw it and instantly thought of watermelons. Funny how all of our minds see things a different way! The shawl sure did turn out pretty.
I love the stained glass window. And that roving...that ROVING is beautiful and the bag is awesome. Congrats on your win.
Beauty everywhere you look!
What a colorful post! Your father-in-law is an artist! GORGEOUS...

I love stained glass and wish I had some in my house
i love that stained glass--wow. i visited a (small) museum dedicated to nothing but stained glass a few years back...what wonderful history of the art. I really like the brilliant blue in his work--i'd display it proudly, too!
That does look like a "I never promised you a rose garden" colorway! Very pretty.
