a little bit of knitting

(since this is a knitting blog, too)

First, socks. Plain 3 x 3 rib. Plain foot, dull (dutch?) heel, maybe a star toe. I';; see.
The yarn bowl was a gift from Barbara Bretton - it's a perfect size for a ball of yarn! (Thank you!) I'm enjoying Foreign Correspondence (a Ravelry readalong) and wondering what my childhood pen-friends are doing these days --

Next, the Yarn Harlot's one-row scarf in Zen Yarn Garden/Art Walk yarn, "Flaming June" colourway. I didn't like the sock I knitted with this yarn, but it's working perfectly for this scarf pattern. In fact, I have yet to meet a yarn that didn't like this pattern.

Finally, two ribbed, slotted scarves. I think I'm addicted to this pattern.

Cute yarn bowl.

That one row pattern is knitting up pretty nicely in the variegated yarn. No bad versions yet? I'll have to try it for my otherwise impossible yarn.

I was trying to remember what I did with my Flaming June. I think I made some socks and of course, gave them away! I have a pen pal from when I was 12 that I keep in touch with. It's down to once a year but still we keep in touch. That's almost 40 years. How mind boggling!

sigh I need to find my knitting!
I have been swamped with school and family stuff that I misplaced my knitting spirit...must...find...it...again..

I love the socks you are making and the colors are bright and cheery for the dismal gray weather.

that slotted scarf is so neat. stays in place better than the earlier versions. the yarn bowl looks useful, too! gives me an idea...
