All I can say is --
I'm glad irony is dead, or they'd probably have eaten it too. With fava beans and a nice Chianti.
Now go here. You won't be sorry.

I heard about the number of dishes the G-8 people ate - I don't eat that much in a week, let alone a day. And as for the environment, did you catch the smog problem in Beijing? One marathoner dropped out because it's so bad.
Okay, not very green of them. I mean, I don't expect them to eat brown rice and tofu but come on! I don't eat that much in a week! Do you think they were served an aperitif of alka-seltzer or was pepcid passed around instead of after dinner mints?
Criminy! No wonder the cost of food has gone up!
They are eating it all.
Think of how many countries can eat on just the working lunch alone.
....and if they are eating that much while working then no wonder nothing is getting done!
You know they needed a nap after that meal. Sheesh!
It was the almond oil foam and tapenade that got me; there was a lot of foam around at that lunch but then foam is mostly air, so pretty appropriate really. And never was a dessert more aptly named than the one served at the dinner. I wonder if anyone had any room for the candied vegetables . . .
a working lunch like that would leave me wanting to just nap...
18-course gastronomic extravaganza
How do you find these things. How sad.
OMG.
SINFUL.
Hm. Wonder if eating all of that might solve the gas crisis.
It would for me.
Oh my good gracious! How can they talk about economics and all that while eating food like that? They obviously don't get it. And none of them apparently are vegetarian.
Now.. how much fossil fuel was expended in getting the food to the conference?
Pass the fava beans, ma'am!
What's all the fuss? Sounds like my dinner last night. ;)
I might have to rethink my attitude towards Japanese food.
You gotta love this, on so many levels.
Wonder if anyone told W what he was eating. . .
