Anyone who doesn't say what we want to hear clearly doesn't have any intellectual capacity at all.

Not that I think this stupid war has made us any safer or solved anything other than Saddam Hussein's atrocities.Carrie Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15585975894624687972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8641541.post-37710586830848779622007-09-12T10:51:00.000-04:002007-09-12T10:51:00.000-04:00You know. (Tho' I've been a supporter of individual Republicans in my lifetime)

That said, I've always had enormous respect for Senator Warner - especially when he stood up AGAINST the party machine in this state 15+ years ago and said "NO" to a candidate for Lt. Governor. I have supported him ever since (as have many many liberals and middle-of-the road folks). Truthfully - no one of merit ever ran against him again.

But now? He's not running again. He's finally retiring. I will miss the man's incredible sense of ethics. He should have been president. Except we don't elect people of incredible ethics to that office. Somehow we know we can't.

Thank heavens he PUSHED Petraeus yesterday. But then, I'm pretty angry the past couple days.Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09227698394068242509noreply@blogger.com
